Marketing Specialist

Where will you work?

What will you do?
Developing and implementing strategic marketing direction to growth for CBC, demonstrating a deep understanding of the value chain, industry economics and competitive structures, keeping abreast the latest developments to align with the plan
Work on an implementation plan across various disciplines to ensure communication and acceptance of the set direction
Actively identifying opportunities within the various segments and regions of the market to leverage open market dynamics further both in Europe and outside
Driving profitability by applying value pricing and developing value propositions
Owning buyer enablement/customer journey across all channels of engagement specific to the respective market(s).
Harmonizing information from multiple sources (e.g. customer engagements, intelligence reports, market trends, IP filings, import / export statistics, etc) to support the building of our new CRM base as well as to support strategic decision making.
Improving profitability through product mix, by leveraging more long-term relationships or specialty products in specific markets as and where relevant
Representing and being the CBC partner in building our new sustainability positioning at Cosun Group level
Designing an innovation roadmap, with focus on level 1 and level 2 innovation projects
Taking ownership for driving innovation projects, in collaboration with the innovation team, through the 5-stage funnel including implementation and product documentation
Work with Product Management to make sure your specifications and product families remain in accordance with trends and legislative developments
Contribute to value creation at the customer by joining sales on customer visits and driving customer projects forward.
What could a typical day look like?
You start your day with some coffee and a review of the latest market trends and competitive analysis reports. This helps you refine Cosun Beet Company’s strategic marketing direction. Next, you join a cross-disciplinary meeting with colleagues from sales, product management, and R&D to discuss the implementation plan for the new marketing strategy.
Mid-morning, you analyze market data to identify new opportunities in various segments and regions, both in Europe and beyond. You then work on developing value pricing strategies and creating compelling value propositions for Cosun Beet Company’s products.
After lunch, you focus on optimizing the customer journey across all engagement channels and gather data from multiple sources to support the development of Cosun Beet Company’s new CRM system. You also look for ways to improve profitability through product mix optimization and represent Cosun Beet Company in sustainability initiatives with Cosun Group.
In the afternoon, you collaborate with the innovation team to design and drive an innovation roadmap, manage projects through the 5-stage funnel, and ensure product specifications are up-to-date with current trends and legislation. Finally, you join the sales team on customer visits to understand their needs better and drive customer projects forward.
Job requirements
To be successful in this position, you are/have:
Masters degree-level working and thinking capacity, preferably in B2B Marketing
5-10 years of marketing or product management experience in Nutrition, Ingredients or Chemicals industry
Fluent in Dutch
Combining Strategic and Entrepreneurial mindset
Natural curiosity for markets, products and processes
Able to deal with complexity of large organizations
You are not done learning and have the ambition to grow further in our organization
You take a creative approach to understanding the market, recognizing opportunities and envisioning strategies for growth.
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, such as consensus building, decision-making and conflict resolution.
You thrive presenting your work and delivering insight.

Attractive total remuneration package
