Are you based in Holland and do you like the idea of travelling to the UK, or are based in the UK and can work independently from there, with some travels to Holland?

As an Account Manager you play a key role in expanding our A-accounts and generating large turnover. You will be given the freedom and responsibility to operate independently and demonstrate your entrepreneurship.

Account Manager English native or professional

(36 hours – 40 hours)

What you will be doing

Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • You are responsible for your customer portfolio the B2B sales of sugar (standard granulated sugar & sugar specialties) spread across different sectors and markets. You will work really closely with the Purchasing, Logistics and Quality departments;
  • The main focus is on strengthening our position with existing relationships, aimed at further optimizing sales opportunities. This includes developing new sales channels in Europe. To this end, you will work closely with the International Industry Sales Manager. When a new sales channel is established, you keep it up and running;
  • Drawing up account plans and supervising the entire sales process, from the first contact and quotation stage to negotiations and after-sales activities;
  • You spend more than 30% of your time outside travelling and visiting your clients
  • Maintaining the sales planning/forecast in SAP as well as processing customer data in the CRM system;
  • Identifying trends and opportunities and responding adequately to market developments;
  • Participate in process improvement projects for the optimization of sales processes and/or the realization of objectives;
  • Promoting the Cosun Beet Company's ambitions in the field of innovation and sustainability.
  • You report to the Manager Sales Industry International. You will work in the International Sales Team, consisting of 1 Sales Manager, 3 Account Managers and 2 Customers Service employees.

Job requirements

What are we looking for


  • HBO or University working and thinking level (for example in the direction of Commercial Economics, Food Technology, International Business);
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an international Industry or Commodity environment;
  • Experience working with the UK market
  • You are a talented networker who sees opportunities and takes advantage of them;
  • You radiate self-confidence and at the same time you are genuine, down to earth and a people person
  • Strong communication skills in  English; Dutch is a plus
  • Willingness to (international) travel (>30%).
