What are you going to do?

As the Manager Sustainability, you will be at the forefront of implementing an ambitious sustainability strategy within the Duynie Group, a part of Cosun. Your key focus will be driving Duynie's sustainability agenda and translating goals into tangible action plans. In line with the broader integrated sustainability strategy, your efforts will support Duynie's ambition to become the European market leader in circular valorization of co-products. You will collaborate closely with various business functions such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations, and engage with the Duynie Board at a strategic level. Developing agreed-upon standards within European Duynie sister companies, providing expert advice, and leading sustainability projects will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will align efforts on the corporate level with Cosun and collaborate with sustainability managers from other Cosun business groups. As a subject matter expert, you will develop plans and budgets and report to the CEO while maintaining regular alignment with the Duynie Board. Functionally, you will report to the Director Sustainability of Cosun Holding.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage the implementation of Cosun's Future Proof Sustainable Chain strategy within Duynie, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 de-carbonization, Ecovadis.
• Stay up-to-date with EU Taxonomy and CSRD guidelines, acting as Duynie's coordinator for activities at the Cosun level to comply with legal reporting obligations.
• Co-responsibility for Duynie's implementation of annual disclosure, aligned with CSRD and closely coordinated with Cosun and the Duynie Finance & Control team.
• Ensure sustainability considerations become integral to business decisions, OpEx, CapEx, recruitment, procurement, etc. Monitor and report on progress, plans, and budgets.
• Support the Duynie Board in embedding sustainability into business decisions, OpEx, CapEx, recruitment, procurement, etc.
• Take a leading role in managing data related to sustainability, aligned with reporting standards for regulators and business partners.
• Collaborate with the Duynie Corporate Affairs and Communication departments for effective external communication.

• Relevant knowledge of and/or interest in the agri & food sector and sustainability issues. 
• Experience in program management.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required. 
• International mindset with willingness to travel, mainly in Europe.
• Self-starter.

Background:

• Master's in Business Administration / Sustainability / Food- or Process Technology.
• Additional proficiency in Dutch and English.
